The pouring rain could not keep people away from Madison Central Public Library‘s pre-reopening party, Stacked. With online tickets selling out, there was a line out the door. The Central Library’s previous community celebration in the empty building, Bookless, set a high bar, and I was excited that Stacked was just as creative and fun! Live music, DJ’s, art installations, craft beers & craft-making, the return of the Oracle! – and a chance to explore this great new space.
What better way to enjoy Wisconsin as the summer slowly winds down than spending some time out on the farm? Apple picking at Door Creek Orchard, a farm fresh meal at Lightyears Tables and quality time with good friends have made this September a month to remember.
Enjoy!
Megan & Patrick’s wedding was truly magical – the beautiful Indian Lake County Park with it’s trails and wildflowers provided a picturesque setting for photographing the event. With an amazing group of friends and family traveling from afar to permeate the celebration with happiness and well wishes. You could not have asked for a more perfect Wisconsin spring day, nor a more loving and celebratory bunch with which to spend it!
In a day filled with so many joyous moments, the celebratory mood really culminated during the many personal, touching toasts made by Megan & Patrick’s family. One that particularly stood out was when Megan’s father led everyone in singing a song he wrote to commemorate the day. The song’s chorus goes like this:
Megan and Patrick are wed today
Ring the bells throughout the land
A better pair I could nae say
Friends and Family do clap your hands
